collaboration The collective has a committee which is comprised of its members and a fluid 5 member art committee to approve submitted experiments. Once an experiment is approved, the authorship is removed and it becomes an object of art by the collective. Any revenue associated with a piece is distributed evenly among the collective members. the dopamine collective™ maintains a focus on ‘artists’ exploring a variety of concepts and expressions utilizing non traditional contemporary practices. The focus of their presentation is the representation of technological fetishism and the art of anonymous craft. Through the collectivism, they explore questions of authorship, ownership, and authenticity. Anonymous craft is not just an artistic ‘phenomenon’ but inherent in the realm of scientific research where ambiguous or unknown authorship is standard practice.
